Change Your Voicemail Greeting on iPhone

1. Open the Phone app and tap Voicemail in the bottom-right corner.
2. Tap Greeting in the top-left.
3. Choose Custom, then tap Record — or play a professionally generated greeting from another device and record it, speakerphone-to-mic.
4. Tap Stop, then Play to review, then Save.

No Voicemail tab? Your carrier doesn't support Visual Voicemail on your plan — dial your voicemail (hold 1) and follow the voice prompts to record a greeting instead.
